ABOUT US
Background
Established in 2020, DOLLHOUSE quickly became an industry favorite for cinematic animation and unreal/unity VR interactive development. Led by Alice Shen & Matthew Dai, both veterans in production outsourcing for 16+ years in art direction and development management in the China AAA game outsourcing space, we grew from 25 people to 120 in just 3 years.
We have worked with world-reknown franchises from Japan, North America, Europe, and China.

OUR PROJECTS
KNIVES OUT
Since 2021 Dollhouse/INTEC has been a major provider of seasonal event CG Cinematic trailers for KNIVES OUT— the top arena-based battle royale shooter in Japan.
AFK Journey is the top mobile game of 2024, and Dollhouse/INTEC has been a major provider of its cutscene CGs, mobile interstitial ads, and full CG cinematic trailers.
With full pipeline from pre-pro to post, Dollhouse provides a full gamut of cinematic animation, VFX, unreal/unity development, and interactive VR services. Our latest works feature fully agentic AI personalities.

What types of projects do you work on?
We are a major supplier of CG services to Tencent, Lilith Games, and Netease, and generally provide a combination of full CG cinematic trailers, game cutscenes, and modeling / animation services for the core game content. It is usually a mix of Unreal and CG workflow. In recent times, our projects have expanded to implementing AI personalities and interactive VR/AR experiences.
How much do your service cost?
Our services rates are competitive in the APAC region. Considering that our production quality is world-class, it has garnered a steady stream of opportunities, limited only by our production capacity, which we under very strict size and focus keeping only senior talent for internal staff.
How long does a typical project take?
We usually work with game publishers on a property for an entire franchise. Each trailer can range between months to a whole year in production, depending on the property. Recently, we have adapted to producing templated VR environments created in Unreal and other engines, enabling fast output of ready-to-deploy XR/immersive interactive spaces.
Can you co-develop?
We excel in co-development and welcome engagements co-developing interactive projects. We are very comfortable sharing the same repo as the our client, and can help with managing code base, segregating development vs. asset production, and maintaining version history during integration.
Do you offer concept development or just execution?
Most of our projects begin when the client team has a firm vision of final creative, however we have also flexed our concept muscles on various projects (for example AFK Journey).
